Sam Fender Shares New Track, ‘I’m Always On Stage’

Mercury Prize-winner Sam Fender shares new single, ‘I’m Always On Stage’, today.

The song originally featured on the Record Store Day EP ‘Me And The Dog’, and will be on the Deluxe edition of ‘People Watching’, due to be released on December 5th via Polydor Records.

The Deluxe edition will feature eight new tracks, four of which made up the Record Store Day EP.

‘I’m Always On Stage’ is melancholic, a ballad that ruminates on what fame has taken from him.

“You had my soul when it was vibrant / Before I lost it on a stage”, Fender sings, his voice cracking under the weight of the confession.

The B-side of today’s single is ‘Talk to You’, featuring pop legend Elton John

And this weekend, the concert film ‘Live at London Stadium’ premiered online. Directed by Toby L and Kit Monteith and shot last summer, the film shows Fender playing to more than 80,000 fans and features the first live performance of ‘Rein Me In’ alongside Olivia Dean. ‘I’m Always On Stage’ plays over its end credits
