Wunderhorse have released a new single, ‘The Rope’, following their sold-out UK tour

‘The Rope’ was created and recorded at London’s RAK Studios with producer Loren Humphrey in the weeks leading up to the band’s recent headline shows. The track follows the release of their latest album ‘Midas’, which arrived in August.

‘Midas’ was recorded at Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio, known for albums including Nirvana’s ‘In Utero’ and PJ Harvey’s ‘Rid of Me’, with producer Craig Silvey, who has previously worked with The Rolling Stones, The National, and Florence + The Machine. The album follows their 2022 debut ‘Cub’.

“When we first went into the studio to make this record, the only thing we were sure about is how we wanted it to sound: very imperfect, very live, very raw,” frontman Jacob Slater explains. “We wanted it to sound like your face is pressed up against the amplifiers, like you’ve been locked inside the bass drum.”
